Peacock of the Peaks

A peacock butterfly on ling heather. Inspired by two sources of hope during the coronavirus pandemic: first the peacock butterflies that visited my garden during lockdown and second walking over the wonderful carpets of heather in the Peak District during August

The Dream of Ama Dablam

I love being in the mountains! One day I dream of visiting Tengboche in Nepal and trekking to see this incredible view of the mountain of Ama Dablam. The figures are gazing towards the summit.

Jumping Spider

My children love mini-beasts and so I drew this for them... I'm not sure it will have wide appeal as a piece of art but I am proud of this tribute to the amazing jumping spider. You could fit 7 of these little critters on your thumbnail and they can jump 30 times their own body length - wow! This is a direct copy of a photo in the National Geographic kids' book Ultimate Bug-opedia (ISBN 978-1-4263) pages 254-255. Since I haven't sought permission to reproduce the image therefore this picture is not for sale.
