I love the expressive nature of this medium and the fact that the unpredictability of the watery element lends itself to a range of possibilities of mark making (and a host of happy accidents!).

Pastel Pencil

The softness of this material enables a range of colour blending and interesting textures to be achieved.

If realism is the goal of the piece I enjoy the precision offered by coloured pencils.
